Hello all, I made a fairly long post in the first-gen SRX forum, so I'll keep this short. I bought a 2005 SRX V6 RWD with just under 66k miles on it a couple weeks ago, and have spent the last two weekends getting it the way I want it. It's pretty stripped down, but I keep telling myself that having fewer options means that there are fewer things to break! I've had a long string of mostly GM cars, and can safely say that I'm a pretty big GM fan. The SRX replaced a modified 2001 Regal GS, and I'm looking forward to driving a stock car (it's been a while!). My wife is also happy, because I'll probably spend less time tearing it apart all the time. I'm looking forward to learning (and hopefully contributing) on this forum! I'll attach a picture on here, but I also uploaded a bunch of pictures in my other thread if anybody wants to see more: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-srx-first-generation-forum-2004/288951-jumped-both-feet-pics-inside.html

Thanks! I'm definitely enjoying it so far. I've got a few things left to iron out, but I'll post about those in the SRX section. It's nowhere near as quick as the Regal was (yes, I know how silly that sounds), but I really love the smooth power delivery!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm afraid this may be the start of a new addiction... not sure if that's good or bad!

LOL You've found the right place if it's started an addiction. They always say, once you go Cadillac, you never go back!

Enjoy the SRX!

Haha, it looks that way! It's bad... I've been eyeing STSes now... but I kinda think I'll just rock the SRX until I can afford to buy an ATS to join it! Thanks again for the welcome, guys!

Welcome!

It must be nice to have that additional room.
