: 19x9 Front / 19x10 Rear?

Considering Cadillac offers a 19" aftermarket wheel for the ATS to begin with, will I have any issues with 9 and 10 inch widths for the front and rear, respectively?

they only fit RWD cars

Forgot to mention I do have a RWD performance ATS. I should be okay then, right?

It all depends on the offsets. I think the stock is 40-42mm, try to stay as close to that as possible.

the tires for these rims will be very low profile be carefull as long as the roads are ok around you are ok

you can start by mounting the rear 18x9 wheels on the front, and see if they fit.

other than that, has anyone mounted 9" front and 10" rears (with proper sized tires, no stretched ones)? if so, i'd love to hear what offsets, and how much clearance you have.

I have a RWD Performance. I test fit several offsets at a wheel dealer. The biggest I could go was 8.5 front, 9.5 rear and those came out flush in the rear. The fronts are a few mm outside of flush but after I lower the car a light camber will clean that up. I cant imagine 9s and 10s fitting.

I'm running 235/40/18 perfect!
Not to mention Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Nice pic hood... Giving us a teaser hahaha I know we are both waiting for a drop kit.

Anyways I don't think you can do 9 front and 10 in the back. My tire guy highly suggested it/told me I have to do 8.5 fronts 9.5 rears, that's the only way. Then again I have 20's don't know if that matters.

Pretty sure width is the final determining factor before I pull the trigger on wheels so I'd love to hear from anyone who has put 19s on so far.

hood101010 - Those wheels look good. Can you post a shot with a better view of them?

FWIW - the 19'' option that comes as a GM accessory has the staggered width's at 19x8 front 19x9 rear.

On an ATS that is 6-800lbs lighter, those widths will be MORE than enough...

Won't 20s be too big on this car? If not, I found the wheels I want. But they only come in 20s...

FluxTZ

If it will fit and won't look funky without a drop then I'm open to it. Since I have a lease I have zero interest in dropping the car for the next three years, hahaha. So whatever size I go with I want it to look good without needing a drop.

Hood, can you post pictures please?

I was thinking about also running staggered 19/20" and 8.5/9" in the front with 9.5/10" in the rear.

When I was asking my local wheel shop, they said that I could use about a +35 offset for the front and +38 for the rear.

That should be pretty flush with some 235/265 tires or so, which is the kind of look I'm going for.

My opinion is 20's are too big. Personal taste. These are 19's. This things getting slammed as soon as coils or decent springs are available.

Those don't count. Anyone can build you a one-off set if your willing to shell out the money to cover parts and their R&D. D3's been promising street coils and springs since last December. I've lost faith in them.

I've kept my eyes open for coil overs and no has any available anywhere. They are the only ones as of now. Pfadt racing is suppose to release some as well. But, I'm hoping bc racing, h&r, koni, kw, bilstien... Any of these companies release some soon.

So is there anyone out there who has put 20s on the ATS and has pictures to go with it?

Just want to see if it looks goofy or not.

My Opinion; The blacked out rims look nice but you really need to black out the window trim as well as the door handles as it now clashes. The front grill is fine as it matches the headlight trim and looks good from the front view. That side view just does not look right.

There are pics of the 20's in the picture thread. 19's look OK but the 20's cross the line for me. Again just my opinion.

Dont want to thread jack but got to reply...
Thanks for your suggestion but this is the look I am going for. Ive done the blackout on my last car and wanted something a little different this time...

I have 20's. I am definetly waiting on the drop kit but without it the rears don't look to bad... They fill in nice under the fender. The front definetly need a drop, I had to use a smaller tire because it was hitting the springs. In my opinion my rear needs a .90 to 1' drop and the front 1.5 to 1.75.

Hood how do you post pics like that?

Hit the little picture frame botton with the tree in it. Just make sure your picture is under the size requirements. I usually have to downsize my pics to post.

I'm trying but I keep getting some type of error message saying I passed my limit in kb or something like that. Tomorrow I'm going to take some nice clear pics and use my PC to post the pics. I've been trying on my iPhone and iPad.

Dude I just tried for 2 hours to post these pic I have. I cant do it:bonkers:. I am very computer illiterate. if you want I can email them to you. I took some pics of the front and rear tire showing the gaps you get with 20's. maybe you can post them on my behalf so others can view them.

Ill keep trying but...

The forum will only host a limited amount per member. You need to delete some older ones (not a good idea since they will disappear from other posts) or start hosting you pictures somewhere else. You could use TinyPic if you don't want to create an account somewhere and don't care if they disappear at some point. But there are lots of free picture hosting sites such as Flickr.

Another set of staggered 19's. Can't wait to lower it. I heard Eibach is in R&D as we speak. I was told 2 weeks. Called H&R directly and they are not going to develop a set. Too bad.

265's (rear)
