I was told by my dealer that the new Buick Grand National will be the same car as the ATS-V except with a different front facia. Etc. This is an official unsubstantiated rumor. He also said it would have the same engine as in our CTS-V, so that ruined the credibility of the rumor, but interesting none the less. If the new V's are shared in any way with a sister car, then that makes our cars all that more special. They are one of a kind, and that makes me love it even more! (Sorry to get all emotional on you guys)
I hope that he's right and we are spared the insect. The "V's" thus far have been V8's and that is the American way to counteract the Germans. We should quit trying to copy them and stick with success.
If they are smart, the ats-v gets a M6 and a naturally aspirated v8, and the next cts-v gets the same motor with a blower. But....the ats-v is getting a v6.
Sounds like echoes of old Internet rumors. Check out the ATS-V section.
