I took my srx up to lake tahoe for the christmas weekend. Coming out of a long hill at Heavenly, I got my butt kicked. Got stuck half way up, tried all the tricks, embarrassing all the other cars, mostly 4 wheel drive went around me and up the hill. Went back down, got more speed and made the hill like a champ. I will definitely getting all wheel drive next time just for these occasion when I leave southern california for the snow. The Cadillac dealer had a form to sign to not put chains on the car. So, after first leaving by the 50 and found chains were reqiured to get over the mountain leaving lake tahoe, I turned around took the 95 to Las Vegas and broke the car in
