Hi guys. I am looking to buy a used 2009 CTS V sedan with around 30k miles on it. Is there anything I should know or look out for? Any known problems with the 09s, what should be the first thing I do maintenance wise (obviously change fluids) anything else?
I bought an '09 two years ago with about that mileage. Other than routine stuff, make sure the recalls have been handled (rear suspension arm, glove box issue- if you dare) and enjoy it. Some will contend that 2009 was consistently the most solid year built to date. They have some minor quirks as you'll find out here but otherwise it is an awesome car.
Do a Carfax and make sure there is no fleet ownership with servicing by M&M Auto Group during that time period. Those are Monticello Motor Club cars, raced for thousands of miles, and with a GM warranty block on them. And there are lots of them in the market!
