I was able to get Mr. Hennessey to pick up one of our 2.0T ATS' to see what he could do about an intake a little over a week ago, and he just emailed me back to let me know that the system is complete. Sales should start in the next couple of weeks, but it is worth noting that he said that with the stock tune the car picked up zero power, but gained torque across the board. The tubo sound I hear is amazing as well!

Thanks for posting.

Do you have a link to their dyno sheets?

I realize you are just generalizing and relaying what someone else told you but what you said is technically not possible.

If you have increased torque at all RPMs, that would include the RPM that made the most HP stock. And if some change resulted in more torque at that RPM then there will also be an increase in HP because HP = torque * RPM / 5252. You can NOT increase torque at a given RPM without increasing HP. Anyway, the dyno sheets will let us know what is really happening. Usually when someone makes a statement like: torque is up everywhere but HP is not increased what they really mean is torque is up below the HP peak but not at or above.

And of course, the amount of increase is what matters, not just that there is an increase. For example, 1/10 lb-feet is an increase but not worth any money or effort to get.

Looking forward to the dyno sheets to see how much of an increase there is.

Yea. Interesting considering TQ is actual and HP is a calculation

I'm actually in talks with John Hennessey himself on this, and just letting you know what he is telling me. Right now I dont have any dyno sheets or product as he is having to make a few jigs to make this a production part, but I should see something as early as next week. At this point I am figuring to have a frankenstein of parts on the car with all of the companies I am talking to trying to get some parts going for these new cars, but if they need a test car I am here and willing!!

It may be in the past or exaggerated but you might want to make sure your car is still stock when Hennessey gets it. There are complaints on the internet about them selling or cannibalizing parts from one customer's car to pay for or complete another. Sounded to me sort of like a parts Ponzi scheme. LoL.

oh I know the stories, look up their Viper twin turbo package! They have a car from another one of my dealers, so it is win win for me

Peak power did not increase (worth mentioning), but under the table it picked up a lot, as well as the peak torque, and torque across the board. We're very excited about the ATS and will be releasing some things soon :)

Also just wanted to mention, be careful of what you read on the internet. During his Presidency Abe Lincoln once said everything on the internet is absolutely true, and encouraged citizens not to actually interact with society, but just to read about it online.

And now everyone is checking the internet to see what you're talking about. Most likely Hennessey's past business dealings...

Hey JPH,

Sorry I missed your post. We are not currently planning on offering anything for the naturally aspirated 3.6's. Great cars though!

Are you working on anything for the 2.0t engine?
