I just noticed this on my 2011 V coupe, left rear bumper

How common is this? Guess I need to book a service call with my dealer.

I just had my sedan in as well for the rear bumper. The body shop told me there is some sort of support bar in the middle of the bumper that tends to get loose. He said this is common on a lot of CTS's not just the V's . I left it with them and they did pull the bumper up some, but there is still a slight play in the bumper.I will just leave it alone at this point,it's not too bad.I don't think they have a complete fix for this and I don't want them rigging it either.

I was told it's plastic clips that hold the bumper to the body, and once removed, or disturbed they'll never line up again.

Does anyone have a schematic for the removal and reinstallation of the rear number?

Be careful on that. They'll probably end up banging it around, nicking it up, repainting it, and then it won't match.

I'd leave it.
