I've seen a few tuned Northstar engines. Lol I would like to see my LD8 push over 300 HP.

Swap in an L37 engine, trans and PCM. That'll give you the extra 25 HP, but remember, you won't realize that extra HP until you are at 6500 RPM. How often do you run there? That's a LOT of work and expense for a measly 25 Hp.

Bottom line: It ain't gonna happen (in the FWD configuration). ......... and, as Ranger posted, the 3.11 economy/cruise final drive is also a BIG factor.

Every day 20-30% of the time. I would also like to have some more oomph for track days.

LD8 is easily tuned and not that expensive to have it done. I have an LD8 paired with a Cadillac 3:71 trans I am going to install in my '97 Aurora, along with a tuned pcm from Madtuner. I also have a 'GXP Bonneville strut tower brace I am going to install on my car in the next couple days, just got done test fitting it. :yup:
