Hi, my cts-v wheels was stolen a couple of weeks ago and since then i have I installed wheel locks. But I want to add a tilt sensor and shatter sensors for a added deterrent. I want to know is it even possible to add a tilt sensor and shatter sensors to with the factory alarm system the cts-v comes with? And if so, what brands are the best? Thanks

If they want it bad enough they will just tow it. It doesn't matter what you install . And how many people actually pay attention t o a car alarm going off .

I've been hanging out on the forum for five years now and haven't seen anyone do this. When the issue has come up, the prevailing opinion is "that's what insurance is for" and "if they want it bad enough, they'll take it" which leads to the first thing I quoted. I agree with this attitude and have not gone beyond the stock alarm on my V.

With that said, I used wheel locks on my V sedan when I had aftermarket wheels, and I left it at that. Wheel locks don't stop theft, but make the process just long enough that the thief might move on to an easier target. Of course, you probably know that already.

With that said, here's a thread from the Escalade section for you. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-escalade-ext-esv-forum-2007/280957-theft-prevention.html

Also, there is a whole section of this site to help you.
