Mine is not one of the models that has "DVD" on the upper left.
Also, I have heard that discs for some non GM cars are compatible. Is that correct? Mine is a US car but I am in Canada if that matters. Any info is appreciated. thanks

Edit. I understand a late Infiniti map disc will work. Any one have their part #?

Found this one Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-0-NISSAN-INFINITI-NAVIGATION-DISC-CD-DVD-2006-2007-2008-Titan-Altima-Maxima-/160999188776?hash=item257c4ca928&item=160999188776&pt=Car_Audio_Video&vxp=mtr

Will my 05 update with one of these DVDs or is mine something more primitive? If so, I see they show Nissan 6.7, 6.9, 7.1 etc. All these all compatible with a firmware upgrade?

The newest version is out for 2013.

Ver 6.11

You may need a firmware update.

Thanks for the info. At $99 for freshly updated maps, it seems like the Infiniti unit is too good to pass up.

Will it work for all 04-07? Why is a firmware update possibly needed? Thanks.

Its kind of a long story. Read the above monster thread. I believe the original setup needed the firmware upgrade to do any map updates at all, even the stuff offered by
the General years ago. The Nissan Infiniti is not compatible with the factory Caddy XM radio add-on(I believe) but I have no interest in the XM, I just want the newest maps I can get. The Infiniti also costs less than half of the GM map disc.

6.11 works. Thanks heavymetals!
It comes with a firmware disk, but I did not need it.
