I read from a 1975 issue of Mechanix Illustrated that a 1975 Sedan deVille does 0-60 in 10.8 and the 1/4 mile in 18.6, Now a 1973 Coupe Deville weighs 4925 lbs and the sedan weighs 4985, the 75 SDV weighed 5149. The '75 had 190hp and 360 lb/ft. That equates to 27.1 pounds for every horsepower and 14.30 lbs for every foot/lb of torque. The 1973 472 cid V8 has 220hp @ 4400 rpm and 365 lb/ft @ 2400 rpm this equates for 22.38 lbs for every hp and 13.49 lbs for every lb/ft of torque. I would estimate the 1/4 mile time at 17.80 seconds for the coupe and 17.87 for the sedan. This makes the 0-60 time about 9.7 seconds about. the acceleration calculator i used for the 1/4 mile is
www.web-cars.com/math/qtr_mile.html This calculator has the results closest to results i have read for the same cars out of Car and Driver or Motor Trend, or what have you.
