Is it 8? I thought it was 10". I may be high tho, I didn't replace it i took mine out and installed a separate amp and subs. The back deck rattles to much

@big greg: I'll double check on the size. The subwoofer was sounding sweet, but all of a sudden it started making a loud rattling noise, so I think the speaker is done. I do give my sub a daily workout to & from work, lol.

Yea I may be remembering incorrectly. But I ended up taking mine back and getting a separate amp and sub for about the same price and its a little to much bass now lol

Looks like PROJECT TIME! Since my rear subwoofer is NO longer working, I will attempt to uninstall the subwoofer. Has anybody here taken out the rear subwoofer before? Any helpful tips?

Please keep me posted I have a standard stereo and hate it considering my last two SLS's had the Bose in it
I need to upgrade but don't want to spend thousands.... Let me know what works so I can get something going

Thank you

1} Remove Sail Panel

2} Remove bottom of rear seat.
Insert a flat-bladed tool between the top of the rear seat back and the rear shelf.
Push the flat-bladed tool down to release the four retainers in order to remove the rear

Disconnect the electrical connectors, if equipped.

This is what I used to tie in my Sub/amp setup with my Bose system: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_161LC2I/AudioControl-LC2i.html
My stereo sounds absolutely amazing now, everything else is still stock.

I replaced my blown, stock 8-inch subwoofer. It was a bit of a headache, but I got it done. 182882

Thanks BlueAngel#07.
I don't have the Bose system. My system is the 8-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio with RDS, integrated antenna and XM Satellite Radio.
