Is it unreasonable to expect the Tremec 6070 as an option? I doubt it would be limited to the C7. Of course physical size might come into play as it did in the V1; the reason a manual was the only transmission offered.

That transmission would make a ton of guys happy ... a ton.

I would think it would be far more likely you'll see an upgraded form of the tremec in the 2.0T. They specifically designed that transmission for the ATS. I would find it hard to imagine they would regulate it in the ATS line to a single engine choice.

in my experience, GM likes to relegate the best for corvette and eventually trickle down the technology to other cars.

seeing as the 7 speed is brand new for the vette, I would be surprised if it founds it's way into the ATS.

The seven speed is also a rear transaxle, different than an engine mounted tranny.

I dont think it's wrong to expect a Tremec. Aside from the C7. I do believe the current CTS-V also carries a Tremec tranny as well.

It was also in a half-dozen other traditional longitudinal rear drive cars before it was in the C6.
