: 2008 DTS Throttle Position Sensor Code P0121 @ 98k miles

I was told to clean the contacts in the connector. Where is it located? I had this problem on an 81 Seville with throttle body injection, and it was the carbon buildup in the bottom of the throttle body, and hose running to the MAP sensor on the firewall. Is there any similar issue relative to that with the current design port system? From my experience over the years, I never had a bad sensor, just a sensor doing it's job to alert me of another issue. Any suggestions?

A code P0121 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

TPS has intermittent open or short internally
Harness is rubbing and causing an open or short in the wiring
Bad connection at the TPS
Water or corrosion in connector or sensor
