I think a few of us would like a bit more info behind it. How much did it run you? Did you personally custom fab it?

Try including some text with your photos, and people might respond more strongly to it.

Yep. But you can find them here:

Apparently we didn't stoke his ego enough.

Are you new to the internet or something? You don't think it's a bit stupid to post up pictures of a new hood style with no explanation at all? How many different threads here have discussed extractor hoods, and you post a picture of a new one with zero information about it? Where did it come from? Did you have it custom made or is some company producing that design? How much did it cost? Did you weigh it - how does it compare to the stocker? Do the vents have some sort of removeable rain guards, or are they always open? Has the venting helped your coolant and oil temps? Does the front end feel more planted at speed? etc etc etc...

You're not new to this site, so I would think you know that folks here are starved for information about new products, yet you provided nothing but a few cellphone pics.

He took the pics off of there also
Pics were apparently put back up on ls1tech at some point between about 7:15am and 7:45am (eastern), because I can see them over there (but people had posted before me that they were gone).

Doesn't make sense that he quickly took them down. Either he wasn't suppose to post them or his ego got bruised somehow though I don't see it in the posts other than people wanting to know some info and talking about the lack of it. It was all mostly good from what I saw.

Based on his first reply it certainly seems like a bruised ego situation, although I agree that I don't see why.

I agree after finally seeing the pics. I love the sleeper factory hood but have kicked around the idea of a little cowl for better cooling under there.

Well, I think this is the best looking hood I've ever seen on a V1.

Do people put these in an aero tunnel or just blindly cut holes in the hopes it actually works?

What's next...speed holes in the bumper?

Naf

more blind then calculated...

I have learnt that the first 1/2 of the hood is good for stopped positions, and the back half is great for motion, unless you are runnin a bug deflector, then its good all the time...

Yes becuse most of us have access to wind tunnel testing....

And every one that buys coilovers has a shock dyno in there garage.

Weird, boy should come back since he's getting his strokes lol. Anyways, hood is cool, but vents should be slightly curved of "v'ed" to match front end lines on car. Interesting.

Side note: I think I'm going to tackle front under tray splitter template this spring.

Apples and oranges when you can actually feel what suspension mods are doing.

At least my butt dyno works :D

He should put a red light that sweeps back and forth in the slit.
