Let's say I get the 18" track package wheels. What size tires do you guys run (staggered sedan)?
I see nothing close to the OEM 27" diameter.

The car will remain stock, other that tires and brake pads for the track.

So your running 1.5" less OD on track? The OEM OD is 27" That doesn't affect anything?? (besides the speedo.)

No issues other than speedo slightly off.

I run 275/40/18 at the track. The speedometer is 0.6 mph off stock at 60 mph (measured). No issues with tires.

I use OEM brake pads at the track. They are Ferodo pads made for Brembo and sold by AC Delco (All three names are on the box). I like the stock pads because you don't have to bed them to the rotors.

What size tires to you run up front? I'm looking for a staggered setup. Even if the car pushes a little bit.

If you track a lot, a square setup is best. 18" TSWs with 275/35 18 slicks are cheap and plentiful when found used. You can rotate them easily and the V will get more front tire, which it will like. 275 slicks are as wide as 285 streets and will give you plenty of grip on the track.

I know your brain is forming opinions and ideas. Just do what we do and enjoy it!

I run 275/40/18 on 18x9.5-40 mm offset wheels on the front. A 285/40/18 will fit fine but it is an uncommon size. 295/35/18 is readily available, but I haven't tried it.

On the stock wheels, you can fit 275/30/19 (front) and 305/30/19 (rear).

Some people who track their CTS-V use 295/30/19 on the front and rear. That size is only available in a race tire.

What wheels are you running at the track?

My club just made a rule. No R tires and R pads without 5points, harness bar, and proper seats.

TSW Nurburgring 18x9.5 - 40 mm offset. The same as many forum members use.

Most 18" wheels don't clear our front brake calipers. The Nurburgring design provides adequate brake caliper clearance.

Same wheels here. Pretty light too.

I run 18x10 Team Dynamics Pro Race 2.0 wheels with Hankook Ventus RS-3's. Theses wheels are spec built for V2's.

TSW Nurburgring wheels come in black, bronze, and silver. Mine are bronze just because I needed them in a hurry for a track event and that was all I could get from local stock. The silver ones look a lot like the factory CTS-V wheels.
