Can you identify which of these two birds are a female?

Observe them closely, it's possible to identify the female even by someone with no training or previous bird observation skills.

Is there any real possibility of a person washing their car there, or do most just let it go?

Is there any real possibility of a person washing their car there, or do most just let it go?

As long as the car wash is heated, no problem! However, if you don't wipe the car down after, including inside the door jambs, they'll stick and freeze shut! Not good.

 Lives on the internet!!! She was modelling in Paris at the age of 14 got into acting at 20, she's on the net because she has a lot of fans! She's done more photos than probably any other model in the world! That's the reason after a year of changing her pic every couple of days, I'm STILL finding fresh stuff to fall in love with all over again.

Any celebrity who has fans will be on the internet and you've probably seen one of her movies and never even knew it. She also did a spread to support the American troops in Iraq a year ago in "DRILL" Magazine!

When did I insult John Deere, damn son, some things are sacred to us Canucks! :rant2: :)

thats why it has 8 wheel drive and damn near 2 feet of ground celarnce with outsanding approach and departure angles ....if they dont move lock the center diff , lower the tire infltation and go on over them ....

Tractor Boy
01-17-05, 03:45 PM
my diffs are permanently locked, I have the remote tire deflation like the Hummer H1(military version) , I got about 38" ground clearance from the bottom of the cab to the ground approach and departure angles are great, its also a "Twin-Stick" anyone know what it is or how to drive one? I do, I do, lucky and fortunate cuz not many people can do either

Stoneage_Caddy
01-17-05, 03:47 PM
Twin Stick ....man those were great ......trouble free to boot ....none of that crap they have nowadays

Tractor Boy
01-17-05, 03:48 PM
damn, I only got 4 wheels though, I was gonna put all wheel steering on but its too much money and a little difficult even for the master of fabrication and modifications

we looked at buying something just like your rescue truck , ended up with a smaller e one unit

i never had the balls for fightin fires but i loved being a firetruck mechanic .....it was the people i worked with and for that i had problems with ....but i miss my babies ..all 15 of them

Tractor Boy
01-17-05, 11:31 PM
it is an E-One, thats all AACounty buys, the 2 PT's are new, just put in service last month

Stoneage_Caddy
01-17-05, 11:36 PM
ahh shoulda known that ......you know E ones plant is less than 1 hour from my house !!!

this is similar to ours , we orderd the 4 door cab , 4wd , freightliner chassis ...basicly the box is the same .....
http://www.e-one.com/images/truckcutouts/lightdutyrescuesan.gif

we didnt wanna blow the budegt as we were also getting another airport truck from oshkosh with the "snozzle"....but it was a nice step up from our 89 1ton gmc with a box on the back

the facotry is right in ocala , as for the trucks that i worked on ...there in fairbanks alaska (eielson afb)

tell me about 29 , how many gallons of water on board? i see tandem axels and no ladder ..yet then again you have a tanker ...whats up with 29 ?

Tractor Boy
01-17-05, 11:44 PM
1750, it and 9-1 are the new PT's the tanker is also fom 9 29-1 is from north county, they both hold the same water, but we have one here in Greensboro thats tractor drawn, 8000 gallons on board cuz there arent many hydrants around here

Stoneage_Caddy
01-17-05, 11:50 PM
1750 ? geez , that explains it ...our pumpers only had 200-300 on board ...had 2 8-9k tankers to back them up

we use to haze the guys that got orders to another base by strapping them down under it and pullin the huge dump valve ...till they drowned one ....the guy lived but they figured they beatter not do that anymore

Tractor Boy
01-17-05, 11:53 PM
HOLY SHIT! we dumped one in a field once and got stuck, had to go home and get my truck to get it out

Stoneage_Caddy
01-17-05, 11:57 PM
you know that 8 wheel drive beast i posted earlier ? ....they got it stuck out on the back 40 .....after they got the duce and a half wrecker stuck trying to pull it out they had to get a bulldozer out to get them boath out ....

still dont know to this day dont how they managed to get that beast stuck without trying to get it stuck ....

Tractor Boy
01-18-05, 12:22 AM
what kind of units did they have up there where you worked?

Stoneage_Caddy
01-18-05, 12:34 PM
we had 3 pumpers from kovatch , 2 were 2wd 1 was 4wd ..fully enclosed cabs on them all 300 water 150 foam , all had cannons on top

3 Teledyne p23 Airport trucks (that 8 wheeled monster). 3000 gallons water 300 gallons foam. emptys itself in around 2 minutes.single 500hp detriot 8v92ta(92 cubes per cyalnder turbocharged and supercharged) These werent very reliable , they had fully independednt suspension on each wheel , the system was desinged for regualr tires , airforce wanted central tire inflation so when it was added they had to drill into the castings for each knuckle . What they didnt realize that the time was that drilling the knuckles will cause them to be stressed , in turn they would stress crack and break , after 2 cases of wheels falling off the truck all P-23 trucks were restricted to speeds no more than 20 mph (far cry from the verifyed 80mph top speed). They had to be inspected every week for knuckle cracks . When one did show up the truck was decomissioned . We ended up looseing one truck . If you ask me the airforce should have had the P-15 trucks restored and returned to service. they had twin detriots , tiwn water pumps twin 3,000 gallon tanks ,twin water cannons (one front one rear) 8 wheel drive , 8 wheel steering ...around 60 feet long

We had one Oshkosh TI1500 airport truck ,we got it 4 weeks before i left . Was equipped with a "snozzle" this would peirce the skin of a burning aircraft and full the inside with foam . 4wd , some sort of 11 litre cummins ...never really got a look at it as i was tranferred to another area (bombing range) before i ever got to look at it

2 P-19 airport trucks ,best offroad firetruck eevr made IMHO , very unique system of driving the wheels , engine and tranny out back , long driveshaft runs out to the front diff into a "nose box" then out the back of the front diff to the rear diff . holds about 1,000 gallons of water 150 gallons foam . We had 2 versions , one was stricly airport , the other can be used as a pumper for resdiential fires on top of its airport capabilty...my favorite trucks , these were my favoirite "children"

of coarse i mentioned the 2 tankers , one was a 85 , based on a international paystar 5000 6 wheel drive, full of electrical gremlins. the other was a 95 International with the huge tank on the back , seems like it was almost 10,000 gallons ....

one p26 heavy rescue , replaced the 89 p-10 gmc rescue . Freightliner 4 door cab , 4wd from marmon. Finnaly had enough room to carry more than the jaws of life (what a fun toy)

2 86 dodge pickups with a halon/drychem skid in each . decomissioned as firetrucks , skids removed and returned to service as department trucks for running errands

one 2000 Expedition cheif truck , named "moose killer" after a run in with a moose at 55 mph , came very close to a totoal out ....

One 98 suburban ,assint cheif truck

one chevy alumium bread van , this was used as a mobile tactical center , pretty neat inside with all the equipment

one 91 chevy 1500 pickup 4wd military spec with 6.2 diesel ...sometimes called a "cucvee"

i think thats it ...oh wait we did get another p-19 ...a second "b" model , the dual purpose airport/pumper

i guess 18 trucks we had ....memeory isnt as sharp as it once was

Tractor Boy
01-18-05, 09:24 PM
hopefully if I get a Ford I can make it 4x4 and put in a race built supercharged 460 Ford BB, and lift kit, 44's (tires), and stacks for exhaust, and big chrome wheels, working pump, custom paint, HELL YEAH! that would be bada**!

I don't know much about fire trucks but a buddy of mine works for Pembroke Pines FD (down here, south Florida) and they recently bought a fire engine, some bad ass shit! He was telling me that the thing was like 1/4 mil $, had like 1000+ HP, 4 wheel steering and could "bark" the tires if you punched it hard enough!

Tractor Boy
01-18-05, 09:56 PM
