I bought a Cadillac certified 2008 DTS. The sunroof has a squeak, the dealer thinks it's the gasket that needs to be replaced. The dealer also said this is not covered by the warranty. I thought it was bumper-to-bumper. Has anyone else run across this problem? Is there anything I can do, short of tearing the old gasket out and replacing it?
I think the dealer is pulling your strings. I've had sunroof repairs under the Major Guard warranty. I'm assuming you have the same warranty. There may be an exclusion for gaskets that I am not aware of. My issue was that it was leaking. It cost me the $100 deductible for my warranty.
