A view of the new 2014 Cadillac illustrated from recent spy photos....front end is, eh......not my cup of tea....sorta Ciel looking; kinda strange looking....if this is what it turns out to be, I'm not as crazy about it as my first impressions were...http://i.imgur.com/pSxa7Or.jpg

Well, it is more refined looking. Need to see it in person.

Looks nice. A derivation of the ATS. I assume the interior will be similar to the ATS Performance 2.0T I drove last week, but we'll have to see. I don't see me trading in my coupe for it yet. Especially after I just got new wheels for it.

I think I like it. It looks very similar to this Jalopnik photo that's been going around:

Maybe it's the angle, but the grill in the photo seems a little more vertical and aggressive which I really like.
I'm still undecided on the rear view. It seems a little soft, but maybe it'll all come together when I see it in on the road.

The whole car looks bland, soft, and common compared the the current generation CTS. My current CTS will probably be my last.

I agree with above ^

GM needs to get out of their design rut they come up with a nice design then plaster the same look on all of their vehicles with no uniqueness left to each model.
I like the ATS but this just makes me say oh look a bigger ATS

I will have to reserve my final judgement until I see it in person but the pics are not looking good here...

It's not too bad, but I like the looks of my 2nd gen much better.

this is not an actual photo of the car or even an official GM digital rendering ... it is a rendering from leftlanenews.com of what they think it will look like based on the spy photos

I said it was "illustrated" and provided the left lane link as well below photo....

ok ... just making it clear ...

a lot of the discussion seemed to imply that people were thinking it was an official rendering

Agreed. I guess in just a few weeks we'll get to see the official reveal from the NY show. I'm hoping for the best.

again, this is not an official illustration or rendering ... there is no guarantee that the actual 2014 CTS will look like this

(although it's probably somewhat close since there were some leaked photos that someone got fired for)

The baby boomers are really starting to pile into the senior arena.
Cadillac could be on the cutting edge of a growing market segment that too date has been dominated by the mini vans; if you have bad joints and a walker (maybe one of those scooter chair things)
You need something that has room - Is easy to load - Has ease of ingress/egress - simple controls - comfort - Maybe some style (I am old but i am not dead yet).

When i think of Cadillac Deville that’s i think of: capable - comfort - style - confidence.
After a long day at the doctors office i want to be coddled by a Cadillac!

Embrace your heritage Cadillac!

Some rework Cadillac could maybe make this one work as the new Deville?

I like the "edgy" look of mine. I wouldn't get the new design.
