I hope you all tell me this is totally normal. My driveway is on a slight incline so is my parking spot at work. I've been filling up at a newer gas station in town which I thought ( are on level ground ) to check you're oil and so on. when I restart the car there I seem to get a slight surge forward as it starts, which I do not notice or have ever noticed in years any place else. My question since I usually start the car on a slight incline is the slight surge normal on a flat surface?:bonkers:

Some cars (not only Cadillac - a Taurus here used to do it - for 130,000 miles) have a slight surge forward, some do a little reverse hiccup. My theory is a slight clutch pack engagement as the fluid pump comes up to speed. Pretty normal.

My '06 sometimes does that... as have numerous cars I have had in the past...

Same here. Not consistent. Sometimes nothing. Sometimes a pretty decent lurch. Usually only the first start of the day.
