Got my car on an AWD Mustang Dyno today. Mods are kooks headers, high flow cats, exhaust, and w4m mail order tune. Car has 97k miles. Did two pulls the second one was slightly stronger at 350hp/358tq. I'm pretty happy with those numbers on this dyno.

Did you try it without the W4M tune. Some have reported higher numbers without it.

No I didn't.... I have a busted clip on my 'B' wire harness so it's a PITA to switch computers. I'm a little ashamed to admit this but I was being cheap and it is running on 89 octane FWIW.

89 octane? I wonder how much timing the computer's pulling unless you guys have great 89 out there.

i bet the kr at the beginning of the run was pretty high looks like she was leaning out a bit in the end if i am looking at that correctly

My LS6 with your same mods and a StealthV tune did an SAE-corrected 350 rwhp on a Dynojet, so your LS2 on a Mustang sounds about right at 350 to me.

But, for cryin' out loud, it might be okay to run around with 89 in the tank to save money, but going on a dyno with 89? :thepan:

It's never ok. What does it save, $2.00? Sheesh. Lol

My V made less peak # with W4M because it leaned out and the car pulled timing back. Before that happened, it was making more power under the curve. Sold the W4M PCM.

I don't doubt you guys one bit, just trying to make sense of it.

The local guy here CJ Tunes who tunes a ton of LS motors who I just talked to said the trouble for mail order tunes is that GM MAF's can have a variance of up to 7%, making for the occasional car that will run particularly rich or lean on a given tune.
