: Black Raven Repaint

2007 DTS has a lot of bad road rash on the front bumper and hood, and a skuff on the front quarter panel that won't buff out. In bright sunlight, the entire Front 1/2 of the hood is speckeled white from chips and the bumper is a mess. I'm considering having the front end of the car reprinted by a high end shop. Any of you have experience with this type of thing? What can I expect to pay? What should I watch out for? Am I wasting money as I primarily drive the car on long haul trips and more chips are likely. Rust has not set in yet. Is that a future concern or will keeping it waxed as it is now prevent that?

I would get it refinished. Review the work of the artists at the shop, maybe see references, try to talk to satisfied customers. Check to see if they can put on a quality top coat to seal the pretty paint. Make sure they have Black Raven, not some knock off, if you do want factory color. Hope some of this helps. Oh and send pretty pictures too. Before and after. Good luck!

Here is a picture of mine with 125,000 miles on it.
I have the front end covered with the 3M plastic.
No dings... no paint chips...
