When I was cleaning out the Caddy to put the cover over it for the winter I noticed that the Rear Driver Side Back Piece isnt flush with the wall. There is a gap between the Back Piece of the Seat and where the wall meets the door. Any clues as to what can cause this and how to fix the problem? I can post pics in alittle bit if that will help

If it is the headrest strip then it is normal that it is not touching the pilar. Mine is like that.

Here is the Gap when I pushed down on it alittle bit to try to squeeze it in place but that doesnt seem to work / be the problem.

Here is the upper piece you may not be able to see the gap but there is one there its not tucked nicely like the passenger side.

This is how the Passenger side is tucked nicely against what I call the "wall"

you sure the problem is with the seat and not "the wall" as you call it. is it possible the car was involved in a minor accident in its 11 years?

at any rate, the seats appear to be in excellent condition. im jealous.

I dont believe thats the problem....I ran my system wires down that side so I was thinking I didnt snap something in place or didnt bolt something back down

Yea, that should be your problem....ive removed them a couple times.....there are a hand full of hooks that need to be connected from the seat back to the metal wall....the seat will go back without connecting to them but like in your case...it will be unaligned and incase of an accident the seat back could disconnect and fly.

almost looks like you could just push it back in.

Ya, I talked to my Dad today about it and he said it has something to do with not hooking it in correctly or just pushing it more to one side. He was on the line for GM and did the seats for quite some years. So its probably that
