I need to tighten down my left rear portion of the roof rack. How do I get that cover off to access the bolts? This is on a 2005 Escalade.

Thanks,
Scott

I used a flathead screw driver and slightly lifted up and pulled back. Need to be careful as there are tabs that can be broken. But once you get it off the second one is much easier as you can see what's holding it in place.

Where would you pry first? Front side of it (towards the rail), or at the back of the cover?

There is a couple of tabs near the front of the cover that holds it to the rack and it should just pop off

If you live in a cold area and the part is plastic, it may a good idea to warm it up with a hair dryer.... Makes it a lot less likely to crack.
