a patch for one of my hoses! Anyone know what that hose is???

This pic was taken 11/17/04, so the condition of it could have changed, it looks like a steel pipe connects to a rubber patch to the electrical tape then to the braided lines.

This is a 94 Fleetwood Brougham, I'd love to see the patch job they did for my brake lines, who ever did this was a complete moron. :banghead:

that dosn't look like any part of the brake system

I can't see any electrical tape either.... it really isn't strong and dosn't stick to dirty things.. are you sure it is patched?

why is you white walls on the inside? get those tires turned around and shine the WW up...

Here's a large shot of it, it looks like electrical tape, you can see steel lines, intersecting with the electrical tape, intersecting with braided hosing.

I think a more pressing matter as Night Wolf said are your white walls!

Well, that doesn't look like a brake line, more like AC or power steering. Try to see what it connects to, either side will be helpful. That tape doesn't look like it's holding any pressure, I don't think it could. Maybe that line was rubbing against something metal and got chaffed, so some grease monkey "fixed" it to stop wearing all the way through.

Yeah, if your car is working fine as is then I'm sure that isn't doing anything damaging to the car. I wouldn't worry about it. And for god's sake, flip the tires around!
Haha.

It's been a while since I was under there but I think that's a P/S line. You can see the OEM tie on it so it's probably been that way since new.

its definately a ps line. i had a caprice with just a lil cut in the ps line but i taped it up w/electrical tape just for peace of mind. lasted till i wrecked the car last summer, so i dont see a problem with it.
