Our '05V has the beige seats and carpets. She has only 48,000 miles but the driver sear is showing major wear on the sweade and dark cracks in the leather and the carpet is looking shabby (its driven all year). Is there anybody who sells the factory covers and capret sets so I can have the seats re-covered vs buying different seats or going to a upholstery shop for custom ones

I would direct that question to Luke at Lindsay (ad on the right side of the page.) I think the answer is yes.

GMPartsDirect sells new OE covers. I'm sure Luke @ Lindsay will as well. If your seats are as bad as you describe after less than 50K, I'd look into upholstery shops to re-cover with better materials.

$127 for the bottom seat cover at GMPartsDirect.

local upholstery/vinyl/leather repair shops will usually be much cheaper than a new cover

what part number are you going by? there's a bunch of different options that i see when looking at the parts catalog
(a bunch of them have actually been discontinued... VPI may have some in stock depending on part number... but they sell @ list price)

I don't see a part number but you can find it by following the path below at GM Parts direct under the CTS V model.

I thought there was some issue with our heated seats being fused with the seat covers. Having the seat re-upholstered would not allow the heated seats to operate anymore. Read that on here somewhere...I'll look for the thread.

The heating pad is integral to the covers. Not sure if they can be transferred to new upholstery.

i bet a good upholstery shop could transfer the heater

the parts catalog shows 8 driver's seat bottoms

3 colors (neutral, grey, and black)
with and without suede inserts
and with or without KA1 (seat heater)

the grey is not listed without KA1 (heater) and the neutral with suede inserts and KA1 is discontinued with no stock available

the 5 available with suede inserts are discontinued but still sold through VPI (Vintage Parts Inc) if they have any left
the 3 without suede inserts are still available from GM

with a VIN number I can easily tell which style yours is and what the best course of action for you might be

Not to jack this thread too far, but is it possible to get a rear bench and rear seat back? Been looking for used ones, but either combined with fronts (which I don't need) or wrong color.

That seat back from Arizona has been on there for at least six months.

I would prefer stock replacements, upholstery shops usually overcharge, at least in Seattle. Been wanting to do this for a while, especially my drivers side. PM sent Rippy!

Geez Randy, whatcha been doing back there?

randy, i might have spoken too soon in my reply to your PM

GM does not sell seat assemblies but for some reason i thought you were talking about seats like a front seat or a rear seats for an escalade or srx (captains chair or bench)

for a sedan the rear seats are sold in parts just like the front seats are ... there are a few different styles apparently so I'll need a VIN to pull up your style then let you see how it breaks down and what is available

(like the front seats some of the seat covers are a bit hard to get or discontinued)

Geez Randy, whatcha been doing back there?Got two issues. After years of my son's car seat being strapped in the middle of the rear seat, it rubbed on the rear center armrest and put a bunch of nicks in the leather. And, again, my son left crayons on the bench seat during hot weather, and I can't quite get all of it out near where the bench meets the seat back in the crease. You have to look hard to see it, but it bugs me for it not to be perfect.
