Anybody know how long it will take to change out the stock shifter to ralco rz shifter. I will be paying someone to do it, so would like to know about how long it takes.

The Standard flat rate allowance to remove and replace the shifter is 1.0 hour.

Took me two hours, but that included a diaper change.

No, it wasn't mine either.

BTW, you'll love the shifter. Best mod I've done.

Can you confirm a couple things on your shifter for me ?
1. What is the length from the 1/2 way point of the metal ball/pivot to the tip.
2. Is the shifter centered ? If you look down the shifter is the knob cut-out in line with the allen heads and the botom section.

Thanks

I installed my UUC shifter in about an two hours. I spent one hour trying to get the rubber boot from the old shifter onto the UUC, finally tore it in the process, and gave up. Not a hard job at all.

I can take a look for you. I can take a better looking picture for you as well. I really don't understand your second question until I have the shifter in hand.
This probably won't be of any help but this is the one that I ordered. Link below

If you look at the pic the allen heads are off center to the shifter cutout and bottom.

He's asking if the flat surface of the knob attachment is parallel to the flat surface at the bottom of the assembly. If they are skewed the knob will be rotated (not pointing directly at the ash tray) when installed.
