: iPhone 5 and Handsfree

Everytime I receive a call, I have to select hands free from the screen. Is there anyway to make the hands free selection the default? I can't find anything on my phone or the CUE menu options.

"Visit gm.com/Bluetooth to find out which Bluetooth phones are compatible with the vehicle."

This leads you to this compatibility check tool:

On a great number of automotive forums, and the Apple forums, people are finding the iPhone 5 will not answer calls reliably in handsfree. Some people have re-paired their phone after giving it a new name, some have disabled the "lock" function, some have hard-set the iPhone to answer on the headset (i.e., Bluetooth), some people say if they hit the car's Talk button twice it works.

Some serious growing pains here for early adapters - i.e., folks that buy a first model year car with a new-ish phone on a new-ish OS.

This will work out in due course... too many lawyers happy to bring a class-action suit for GM or Apple and/or others to ignore!

(I am lucky to have stayed with the 4s and have not had problems with it as yet.)

Update your iphone to IOS 6.1. Had three calls placed to my iphone5. All three answered with voice thru the CUE.

Seems to be working. I did update my iPhone this past week. But I also had my car in for a service and the dealer applied some Cue updates. Only thing I noticed is that the Nav system got rid of the band of clouds that was on the top of the screen.

iOS 6.1 solved the answering calls issue, finally!

Looking forward to trying the update on my phone. This has been driving me NUTS!
Glad I am not the only one.
