Thanks... AKPsiMC03 09-08-03, 03:32 PM I dont like the Earth thing... change that to "The Community for Cadillac Enthusiasts Worldwide" But leave out the super like on the top of the page Katshot 09-08-03, 04:54 PM YUK! I'll try to get a minute later tonight to do a layout then I'll post it. BeelzeBob 09-08-03, 05:04 PM Thanks guys.. I'm totally open for suggestions.. That was only a draft... Mad'lac 09-08-03, 05:05 PM Yeah leave out the Earth part.......at least until Mars and the moon are colonies. elwesso 09-08-03, 05:29 PM We need to come up with a good logo.......
NICO has a cool logo, and im sure we can come up with something better than the ricers........ BUILDINGCTSAMG 09-08-03, 07:06 PM Hey Sal,
I am glad your working on this, but actually im picking up my first sponsor and he owns a company that does car graphics and can do this for youig you want......
if you check out www.clubb5.com they have a really nice sticker,
I dont like it being a big black box, try making it just the letters, it makes it look nice in my opinion.... BeelzeBob 09-08-03, 07:18 PM Yes, I agree. I wanted a transparent sticker as well. I just don't know if it's an option with Cafe Press.. If it is, then the sticker will be transparent... Katshot 09-10-03, 09:00 AM What about something more like this? the Sandman 09-10-03, 09:03 AM What about something more like this?Pretty good Katshot! Any legality issues with the logo?? Katshot 09-10-03, 09:38 AM Beats me, I'm no legal expert for sure. We should run it through our legal department. ;)
I just whipped this together before I got out of the office last night. I was gonna post it but thought it needed the Caddy crest so I held off 'til this morning so I could through a crest in it. It's seriously rough but it gets the idea across. I like the idea of mixing older (read classic) script with the newer to show the "mix" we have here. The "tag" line was just something that popped into my head. If it flies, fine. If not, we can add something else easy enough. BeelzeBob 09-10-03, 09:48 AM How about "The Cadillac Club of America"? I love the looks of that logo, Kevin.. Great idea.. I think we should go with it... the Sandman 09-10-03, 09:58 AM How about "The Cadillac Club of America"? I love the looks of that logo, Kevin.. Great idea.. I think we should go with it...On my second look, I decided I do not really like the look of the 2 different fonts together for CadillacForums.com. Plus, I think it will make people think it's two words, not one.
I suggest we put "The Cadillac Club of America" on top, in the classic script Katshot used. Then, put the CadillacForums.com below in a single more modern font.
Wait a minute - Cadillac Club of America? We're worldwide.. How about "The Cadillac Club"? BeelzeBob 09-10-03, 10:07 AM That's where "Earth's Cadillac Club" came about... You're right, though..
Regarding the two different texts - if they were closer together it would look more like one word.. How about that? HotRodSaint 09-10-03, 11:32 AM What about something more like this?
Looks good. BUILDINGCTSAMG 09-10-03, 11:41 AM I dont like the crest, i think it should just be cadillacforums.com no other crap toomanytoyz 09-10-03, 11:43 AM I dont like the crest, i think it should just be cadillacforums.com no other crap
I don't like the crest either...
I think it should be a more modern crest and then the web address beside it. No more than 4" long. Plain color, like silver. No tag line. Simple and effective. :) Katshot 09-10-03, 12:35 PM Short and sweet (and boring). BeelzeBob 09-10-03, 12:57 PM The crest wouldn't be so bad. I can add in an updated Crest.. I thought the original looked better, really... The first one that Kevin put up... toomanytoyz 09-10-03, 01:01 PM The crest wouldn't be so bad. I can add in an updated Crest.. Well, I like the first one better than the revision... I really like the cursive script for the "Cadillac"... JerseyGirl 09-10-03, 02:39 PM Short and sweet (and boring).
Yea...this one is too boring...I liked the first one ya did! :D Either way...I need a Caddy to put it on... :( BeelzeBob 09-10-03, 05:06 PM Of course, it would be transparent... I hope. :p BeelzeBob 09-10-03, 05:14 PM Keep in mind that CafePress needs these images to be 3x5! Is that too big? JerseyGirl 09-10-03, 05:50 PM Of course, it would be transparent... I hope. :p
That one i like. The Cadillac in script is cool.. :worship: I like the script, too. If Cadillac gives you any grief over it, though, it could be switched to something like this:

I bought this on eBay a few weeks ago. I need to find another one to put on the other side when I finally buy my Caddy. HotRodSaint 09-10-03, 06:53 PM I like the script, too. If Cadillac gives you any grief over it, though, it could be switched to something like this:

Thats cool! Thanks! It came off a 1948-55 Caddy of some sort. There's an old Fleetwood script, too. Just haven't found one yet. toomanytoyz 09-11-03, 08:32 AM No offense meant, but I would not put a 3x5 sticker on my car. I actually have a guy that does my local club stickers in vinyl. They are actually individual letter cut out and on a tacky sheet used to apply them to the outside of the car. Contact me off list Sal, if you'd like more details. :) Once my internet connection is up at home (down 3 days now! Damn you Comcast!!!), I'll post a pic or two... toomanytoyz 09-11-03, 08:36 AM Here's a pic I found hosted on line at another site recently... The stickers I had made are the BADASS and UNYISSO ones on my back window. I can do something similar for us here too...

What he said.
Plus a clear background is hard to install without leaving finger prints. Katshot 09-11-03, 08:39 AM I would have to agree that a 3x5 sticker is NOT what I want on my car.
Maybe that's just the maximum size. BeelzeBob 09-11-03, 01:13 PM I hear ya's.. Too big.. I'll need to find another service that does stickers.. toomanytoyz 09-11-03, 01:25 PM I hear ya's.. Too big.. I'll need to find another service that does stickers..
*cough* ahem! *cough*
:D BeelzeBob 09-11-03, 03:03 PM What size should the stickers be? I have someone that's offering to do them so I guess I will compare products and prices..
Thanks! Katshot 09-11-03, 10:22 PM Hell, I was thinking 1 or 2 inches high by 5 to 10 inches wide. elwesso 09-11-03, 10:23 PM So like something that you would put along the bottom of the rear window...... i like it!!!
Doesnt look as tacky, and easier to read....... BUILDINGCTSAMG 09-12-03, 12:04 AM How bout our tag line be
"The Cadillac Enthusiast Club" or something with club, better to be a club then a forum Katshot 09-12-03, 06:29 AM First of all, we're not a "club", and second of all, I think the main point is to promote the "forum".
Plus, there's A LOT of Cadillac clubs all over the world and by calling ourselves a "club" we're bound to step on SOMEBODY's toes. We don't need to piss anybody off, and we DO need to promote our individuality. Hell, as Sal had pointed out before, we even have to make sure to point out the "S" to make sure nobody confuses us with "******************". toomanytoyz 09-12-03, 08:25 AM My vote is 4 inches or so long, and however high the proper perspective puts it. Probably less than an inch...
That way it can be put on either the rear window or the quarter windows. |
