by the way, is that a fuel injected 350 or a carb model? if its fuel injected, does your cruise still work? If so, how'd you do it?

1. Yes, it's custom made exhaust.
2. That motor supposed to be TBI, but I didn't feel like messing with swapping injection. Right now it has a quadrajet and no cruise hooked up, although I could've made it work, just didn't need it.

I'm doing a 350 Chevy in place of my 305 Chevy in my 91 Fleetwood on Friday (starting the swap anyway). The motor is a 87 L98 out of an 87 Iroc 5.7. Anyway what year Camaro are those shortie headers for? Got a part #?. Also I'm considering adding a carb in place of the TBI, any idea if this is going to mess with my transmission?. I was advised to get a TBI and chip from a 350 Chevy truck but I'm thinking about just putting a good 'ole carb on it. I am planning on doing the headers and dual exhaust immediately after I get the motor running so help in this area would be helpful. Thanks.

The headers are actualy for many different apps like Camaro, Chevelle, ElCamino e.t.c. I got them from http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=1317&prmenbr=361 part #500-68600. You can actually get that model ceramic coated, it just costs more. But you'd have to look under "Elite" series. Mine, as you see, are "cheapo" ones, the high temp paint I sprayed started to come off after about 15 mins.
As far as your tranny goes, which should be 4L60, not a 4L60E (E-electronically controlled) It may be an equivalent of a 700R4, just a newer version. You'd have to ask someone who knows a little more about 'em. Mine is a 2004R which is controlled by a TV cable (throttle valve), that works nice with a carb.
