Oh it was horrible, first my house got struck by a comet, then i was on my roof plucking away at a zombie invasion with an ol BAR, then my water pipes broke and my neighbor asked for a cup of sugar, horrible i tell you. But i survived..i live to drive my Caddy another day.

I survived the alien onslaught and the ensuing food and gas shortage in my bunker 2 miles down 20 miles outside of town. Thankfully, I was smart enough to store up enough twinkies and fruit pies to last me through the night. :)

0621 EST today was also the Winter Solstice: The sun has reached its maximum southerly declination at 23.5 south and will now begin its 6 month movement to 23.5 North - the Summer Solstice........... BUT, due to prolonged heat loss from earth's northern hemisphere we haven't seen the coldest weather - yet. In any event, from now to June 21 the days gradually get longer.

dkoz gets a few hours of twilight around noon - little or no sunrise/sunset. The sun is only 2 above the horizon from 11 to 2 .......

That being said, what we do get is severe clear and the bluest skies you've ever seen.

Had they survived, the Mayans would have been on Central Time. Post after midnight!

......One less hype for the media to make money on. Back to disaster, dissent, politics and misery - besides, that sells advertising better than fun or interesting stuff.
