View Full Version : pop and loss of power

I filled up my 2008 Escalde, as I was driving away I had to stop. As the truck was idling I felt a pop and the truck lost all power. I put the transmission in park and turned the key. It took a couple of cranks, but the truck started. This is the second time this happens. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks in advance for your input.

Do you have a check engine light on? Sounds like a evap purge valve.

There is no check engine light. Katie, can you please check for any recalls?

@ cadmanchris, when i said i filled it up. I filled it up to the cap. I left no room or very little room for air to be in the tank.

There is a bulletin that describes your situation. The purge valve may stick at times and cause this to occur on a fill up.[COLOR="Silver"]
