I'm thinking about ordering one of these to store tools and gear in and was wondering if any of you guys have one or something similar.

Looks intriguing, but I'd have to know how much weight that top part supports. Would hate to have to take it out every time I wanted to put something heavy back there (which is often for me).
Looking over that site, I think I may have to get one of these: http://www.autosportcatalog.com/home-and-vehicle-security/hitch-safe.cfm I can think of a lot of times something like this would have come in handy.

You are right...thanks....I corrected it. I called Autosport and they quickly told me it would support 100 lbs. That's not bad...and I would guess that that's the point where the top might distort and impede the operation of the drawer. In thinking about that...I think that rating could be enhanced with the addition of a piece of 3/4" plywood.
Autosport is having a 30% off sale today and tomorrow with free shipping on orders over $100...I may pull the trigger on this.

OK...talked to my nephew that is SWAT & Undercover Narcotics LE. He drives a Blacked Out Police Tahoe unmarked with a Camaro SS 6.2 & special police suspension. He has this same product in the Tahoe and uses it to carry weapons and ammo....loves and recommends it. Mine is on the way...$285 to my door with limited time discounts.

Stay tuned for my review.

OK...finally had the utility drawer delivered today. I like it...perfect fit and just what I wanted.

Notice that I have a Rubbermaid bin and a cardboard box forward of the drawer. If I remove those I can put my third row seat in the upright position and the Utility Drawer is a perfect fit. The top is carpeted over a sheet of 1/4" plywood. The unit weighs 70# and has a lock. it has several rubber feet that it sits on and does not move around once put in place.
