Yes it's lowered 2/3...Baer big brake kit 15f/14r, Hotchis heavy sway bars and Maggie Puffer..Oh and you can sorta pic out the ACS hood in this pic...can you see the Laser Interceptor jammer heads ?

----------

The hood came from http://www.acscomposite.com/hoods.html

murphy ... which lowering kit did you use for the 2/3 and did you have any code issues with the autoride?

@bigwill: that's a 12/13 Premium front end not Platinum, the latter isn't colormatched. And yes, 1mil x better than Lexani imo.

soulsea I used the McGaughy's kit. Combined with the Hotchis the two provide a taunt, balanced, stable very nice ride...much improved cosmetic stance...all with absolutely no ill effects on the magnetic ride. Air assist works perfect and since the McGaughy's comes with new dropped spindles the geometry of the front end remains pretty much stock. It looks so much better without the huge gaps above the tires to fenders

My previous 'lade with premium front end..

Yeah I used to roll with a Belltech 2/3 drop once upon a time on my Tahoe Hybrid:

I've been thinking about dropping the Esky but I keep hearing stories of the rear compressor airing up despite the shorter autoride links.

So i was just curious if you had any issues in that regard.

Platinum Front End

Both look great and look WAY better than all that chome Strut grille look IMO. I prefer the paint matched look so I went with the Premium Front End

Serge, not sure what you've read about the autoride links w/ compressor issues but I have 0 problems with mine and I have mine sitting exactly how I wanted it. Here is a write up I did for a guy:

Belltech 2/3-4 Kit from “Tony”
In order for it to sit level you need to use the 1” rear spring spacer that comes with the kit. Without it it sits about 1” lower in the rear and looks bad IMO. There are 2 tiny threaded rods for the “autoride links” that come with the kit and are 3” long. These need to be cut to 2 7/8” for it to sit level. These things control the air suspension in the rear so it affects ride height depending on the length of them. The bumpstops should be cut a little to help it keep from bottoming out the axle on the frame over big bumps

How mine sits (about ~.25" higher in rear to give level appearance as the window trim runs downhill which if the front and rear perfectly matched is would look like the rear is sagging)

And not to put down the mcgaughy kit but their quality has continued to be questioned and there has been several issues with their spindles, the biggest being a loss in turning radius

With the sway bars do you have to do front & rear or just one side?

You would want to do the front and rear, there are no sides, that way they would be matched. I have had Hotchkis sway bars on all 11 Escalade's, they work great

murphy....

your ride is awsome... was it for sale once upon a time in Edmonton? i could have sworn i saw a supercharged escalade on kijiji.

Also, is yours a platinum and supercharged, or did you change the front end, wheels and boards and lights to get it there?

I would love to supercharge it, but dont think the wife would like it!... its her ride mostly.
