Hey All,
I am looking into building myself a car and I love the Northstar in my 01 Eldorado. I was wondering if there is any possibility of taking one out of a car and mounting a manual transmission to it for a custom build. I'd like to be able to use a tremec transmission on it so im mainly looking for an adapter or bellhousing conversion.

Thanks,
Davis

You could use a 6 speed transmission from a Pontiac G6.

There are a number of N* running G6 transmissions in the Fiero community.

For kit cars and engines, talk to the guys at CHRFAB - they build stuff for sand rails and kits - some of their Northstars are fire-breathing works of art. Too bad none of it fits a FWD drivetrain - They specifically state: "We do not build parts or engines for GM production cars".

Pretty vague. U want to build a "car" with northstar motor? Can u be more specific? Do u want to use a front engine/ rear wheel drive chassis as ur starting point? Or start with a fwd chassis? Do u want a tube frame chassis like an off road rock crawler and build a custom body? Engine in front or mid engine?
