Anybody know why they decided to put in such a small cargo net? Big trunk, lots of rear leg room, little cargo net.

Because this is today's GM. If they can save a nickel, they will. The nickels add up, I guess.

I just bought a 2014 XTS and I agree with Cadjiek in that the cargo net is a joke. Anyone spring for the $140 "Collapsible cargo area organizer"? Is it any good?

Thanks,

Does anybody have the trunk mat?

I have the trunk mat, and I really like it. It keeps things like briefcases and other slippery things from sliding around the trunk. Things stay in place very nicely. I highly recommend it if you don't like things moving around. Oh, and my dealership threw it in for free at purchase. :-) (I paid for the all weather rubber mats, and are happy with those as well. Easier to clean than the ones in my 2008 STS.)

ok yeah I have the thick xts weather mats. But I tend to notice my shoes slide around when they are wet. You have that issue?

Go to the Container Store- They sell a box like container that "sticks like Velcro" to the trunk floor. It's black, will a reasonable load of groceries, won't move around and costs around $10.
