shipping bumpers gets expensive and often ends up damaging the bumpers which becomes a big headache (especially when we're not making much money on them in the first place)
so management has decided that we're not going to not sell anything that UPS ground won't take unless the customer arranges for the shipping on their own
(similar to why we don't ship internationally)

... it would be $425 but you would have to arrange for the shipping/freight

This is the current bumper

12-06-12, 01:00 PM
uhg... that stinks

01-06-13, 02:08 PM
Does the $425 price include the sensors? I also need one of the reflectors.

01-07-13, 09:38 AM
no, that's for a bare primed and ready to paint fascia/bumper only

the reflectors and the grey unpainted insert that they mount into is also sold separately

$21.48 - list price each
$13.43 - list price each

$182.45 - list price
$136.84 - your price

i do have the insert available

Are the sensors something I can remove from the current bumper and put on the new one?

01-07-13, 04:33 PM
yes they are most definitely re-usable unless damaged

01-10-13, 12:26 AM
What about the mesh?

01-10-13, 10:30 AM
I don't think the mesh comes with any of the other parts

you can re-use it if it's not damaged

would you need both sides or just that one side?

01-12-13, 05:58 PM
The driver's side mesh appears to be damaged, the other side is perfect. So I would need the driver's side mesh insert.

01-14-13, 09:38 AM
wow, those are expensive

#25823195 (LH rear bumper mesh panel)
$249.51 - list price
$187.14 - your price

Chris, I replied to your PM, but you don't have any more storage so it bounced back. Here's what I sent

"I just sent you payment for the gray insert. I'll hold-off on the mesh insert for now to see how bad mine is actually damaged. I appreciate the help. All I need now is the bumper cover . . . How do they get damaged during shipping?"

01-14-13, 04:45 PM
No problem ... i'm shipping out the insert tomorrow... I'll PM you the tracking number

the bumper cover boxes are so big and mostly filled with air ... there's no packaging to protect the fascia if/when it gets the usual treatment from shippers
it can end up with crunched corners or creases from getting bent ... we've even seen holes punctured through the box and bumper caused by other items

after a couple times dealing with these kinds of issues management decided that we're just not going to deal with shipping these items anymore due to the potential hassles
you've got to apply for an insurance claim with the carrier (and if you didn't notice it on your end when you took delivery then there's basically no recourse)
i think last time we shipped one my customer noticed that the box was somewhat damaged but didn't know that he had to alert the freight driver that he was concerned of that and just signed for it and a day or two later when he contacted me to let me know about the damage to the bumper i couldn't file a claim because he didn't note the damage when he signed for it

the customer was very upset and didn't understand how it could be his fault that we couldn't do anything about it
we decided to discount the part below cost and eat all the shipping to make him happy but that was kind of the last straw and mgt said "ok no more of these freight shippments"

if you want to arrange for shipping and have it picked up here that's perfectly fine
that cuts us out of the loop in the involvement for shipping so we're technically not shipping it
i can get you any info that you will need to do that if you decide you want to go that direction
