yeah, i have been using their dial-up service since i have been in my new apartment. i have yet to get road-runner because they're too quirky with scheduling times, and i don't have the time. i have finally ordered roadrunner since i have no school at the moment, but geezus...

why are these butt-weeds (AOL) still in buisiness? any thoughts?

I gave AOL the boot. I also rewired my verizon so that I can use it for anything I want :)

AOL has been losing market share since about 97. Why? Cause people are wising up. Like the Netzero ads say, it's the same internet. AOL just adds some features that are either useless or can be found for free elsewhere.

yeah, i love those nice little "tool bars" that AOL will gladly force you to download. there is also the common "spyware" and "adware" problems that are exlusive to AOL: yet AOL has their version of "anti-spyware"...funny, huh? i especially like those tool-bars though, as there is just sooooooo much bull-shit i can do with those little things! i can even play on-line games with their dial-up services thanks to those little too bars...i can also look at the "personals" tool bar and get routed to some "XXX" dialer! can't beat a porn-site internet explorer hijacker, huh? good thing i use mozilla.

anyways, i only got this service because i had moved from my old place, which sbc-yahoo ran their dsl service at. where i live now, sbc-yahoo does not run their dsl services. i had to either wait for roadrunner to come to my home, at their convenience while i was at school, or, and this is the kicker, take the so-called advantage of using 1200 free AOL hours. guess what i was dumb enough to do? now that i'm on break, i can, and have ordered roadrunner. so now i should be setting pretty sometime next week.

AOL is just like Microsoft; everyone hates them, but everyone uses them :hmm:

I use SBC-Yahoo DSL and I love it, especially since I can carry my laptop around the house (with the built in WiFi wireless connection :lildevil: ) and surf at high speed.

I also use Mozilla Firefox for my browser, as Internet Explorer just had TOO many security flaws and My Dell Inspiron (with built in wifi) can't be getting all of those virus/spyware/hackers on it...

AOL is till around becuase it's "dumb" peaple's internet, I have SBC-DSL , most of my homegirls have aol and act. love it because they can im everybody, but there comp. are constently breaking down , have a virus or full of spyware. If you have a comp. let a teenage girl use it for a week. And see what you would find on it. lol
