View Full Version : Chrome trim

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find my answer while searching. The chrome trim that runs along the bottom of the doors is pealing off, is there anything on the after market scene that I can replace it with that's higher quality? I would like to keep the chrome look, I think it goes well with the red paint. Thanks.

I'm trying to visualize what you're referring to ...

Are you talking about the sill plates?

It's the only metallic part near the bottom of the door that I can think of.

^^^^ Those are actually aftermarket or NOT stock, I have those on my truck. I'm wondering if he's talking about the chrome strip that runs on the side door steps? Can you take a pic and show us, please?

The trim under the word Escalade

By the way, those sills are nice! I'll be getting some of those too!

I have yet to see anything "better". If they are peeling, you should be able to get those covered under warranty.

Btw- If you look in my thread(2009 update), I have pics of those door sills installed.

You got me all confused with the bottom (giggity), that chrome strip is in the middle of the door, 2/3rds down if you count the window. :)

Yeah, I don't believe there's anything aftermarket that's going to be better chrome plated than oem for those.
