I have a 2010 escalade with 28,000 miles twice
now i was in the truck with the key on setting a destination with the nav system
after about 1 or 2 minutes the dash says turn off car battery low. Do i need a new battery or is this normal?

Doesn't sound normal. Looks to me your battery isn't holding much of a charge, and in need of replacement.

About two weeks ago I was watching DirecTV in my car for about 30 minutes and I got a dash message to start the car because the battery was low. No problems since then. My 2010 has about 29,000 miles on it.

30 minutes is a different story, and perfectly normal. 1-2 minutes is not much reserve for any battery.

I had that on my 2010 base escalade and I just had it on my 2010 ESV. Both times it had a bad battery. The stock battery is worthless...

30 minutes is a different story, and perfectly normal. 1-2 minutes is not much reserve for any battery. Even after only 30 minutes that sounds unreasonable to me.

I also have a 2010 and after about sitting for a day or two in the garage and then switching on the ignition for about 5 minutes I get the same warning. The battery was replaced by the dealer when I bought it back in March and got this message after only several days.

Any one else thinks Cadillac Customer Service employees are like vultures? All ways looking for ppl that have problems with their cars and just waste their time with out really solving anything.

With one battery about 30 minutes is it, that is more time than I used to get from a stock single battery setup, if you find yourself using your truck that way then look at going with dual batteries, it will end your problems. :)

I also have a 2010. Every since I have had it (over 2 years), the same thing happens. Probably just a computer generated message to remind you that you are running elect services without generating power. I have always ignored it and have never had a battery issue. Still on stock battery.
