why are you removing your v badges ???

Most are removing the "CTS" because most of us feel that the "CTS" cheapens the car.
Besides...it looks cooler without that badge.

It is interesting; I have a Chevy Suburban Z71; the word "Suburban" does not appear anywhere on the vehicle. A Z71 emblem is located where the word Suburban would normally appear. Similarly, though it is essentially a dolled-up 1500, there is no 1500 emblem.

The Suburban Z71 has much more in common with a Suburban 1500 than the CTS-V has in common with the CTS.....

But I guess the V is a limited production rolling billboard for Caddy as well as the CTS, so they want people ( not necessarily only gearheads) running into the caddy dealers saying "I just saw a cool 'CTS' and I want me one of those....."

I don't think you will find anyonw has removed their "V" badges.

Some member of the forum has indeed removed the V emblems..........can't remember who though.

It was me that removed the V badges. I did not care for them at all. Of course I did not like the Turbo 6 badge that Buick put on the Grand National, I own, and years later (now) I kind of like it, so maybe it will grow on me. I did decide if I ever repaint the Grand National (all black) I would put no badges on it...none !!!

For now I have replaced the 'V' badge with 'Z06' Silver badges with a red background. I think it more accurately states what the car has going on under the hood, and the silver goes well with the platinum silver paint job.

I get way more attention and questions with the Z06 badges on my V, than with the 'V badge' and like I said, I did not care for the V design, the colors, or how it looked on the car. Personal taste I suppose....

I tried to post the pics of what my car looks like and was unsuccessful. Pics were too large and I am not sure how to shrink them down...
