Well the good news (for Ford (http://www.autoblog.com/ford/)) is that MyFord Touch (http://www.autoblog.com/tag/MyFordTouch/) may not be the most hated automotive technology around the Consumer Reports water cooler anymore. After getting its hands on a Cadillac ATS (http://www.autoblog.com/cadillac/ats/) and XTS (http://www.autoblog.com/cadillac/xts/) to test out the new CUE (http://www.autoblog.com/tag/cadillac%20cue/) infotainment system, CR had some pretty harsh words for the next-gen infotainment system.

In the video below (http://www.cadillacforums.com/2012/11/21/consumer-reports-lambasts-cadillacs-new-cue-system/#continued), the reviewer had problems using the capacitive buttons and referred to the system as being "fussy" multiple times, and the big rip came when he said that MyFord Touch (a technology that has been slammed by CR since its inception) is easier to navigate than Cue.

Oddly enough, CR recently posted a video (http://www.autoblog.com/2012/11/14/consumer-reports-weighs-in-with-its-first-tesla-model-s-r/) on the Tesla Model S (http://www.autoblog.com/tesla/model+s/) and seemed to praise the car for its lack of buttons and knobs. Which is it guys? Do we have a buttonless future to look forward to or not? Check out what Consumer Reports had to say about Cadillac's new infotainment system in the video below (http://www.cadillacforums.com/2012/11/21/consumer-reports-lambasts-cadillacs-new-cue-system/#continued).Continue reading Consumer Reports lambasts Cadillac's new Cue system (http://www.autoblog.com/2012/11/21/consumer-reports-lambasts-cadillacs-new-cue-system/)

CR would have loved CUE if it was from Toyota....

Some people seem to never like change! :stirpot:

I have the new CUE and love it... yes it does take some time to learn how it functions ... and something brand new usually does.

Useless review. Driven by pre-bias.

You have to take your eyes off the road even for physical buttons.

There are so many buttons on the center stack on my CTS, that I can't jus blindly reach for a button.

80% of the time I use the steering wheel and voice commands. I would imagine the same thing would be true of CUE.
