I have loved my old SRX and now need to get a new car. I am unsure about the second generation style. My concerns include:
- smaller size
- sunroof does not open all the way
- less visability
- harder drive
If you have had experience moving from an the older version of the SRX to the new, could you please let me know how you found the second generation SRX. I would appreciate any comments on driving the 2010 - 2013 SRX. Thanks.

The sunroof opens quite a bit after a second press of the button. I have had my 2012 SRX Luxury AWD for 4 months and find it quite nice. Good power, smooth ride, lots of bells and whistles. My only real criticism would be mpg, but that's what happens with a heavy vehicle and a good sized engine. Sorry I can't offer any comparison to the first gen SRX. I would think the 2012 would be a better choice with the 2013 bring new. CUE will likely be buggy for a little while.

I have an 08 and have driven a couple of 2012's as dealer loaners.

I would make the trade in a heartbeat.

I moved from the 2004 to the 2010. I do miss the bigger cargo area and the 2004 had a peppier engine. However, the 2010 has been more reliable, better handling, the interior is more plush and attractive, rear camera and Navigation are amazing. The styling is off the charts and I don't have any issues with the Sunroof. As far as gas mileage, I was only getting 18mpg with the V6 in the 2004, I'm getting 22 mpg with the 3.0 2010. I'm very pleased with that.

The 2013 is probably going to be even better. I plan to go and check that out today myself.

I had both (2006 and now a 2010), all your concerns are valid. I miss the 2006.

I had several previous models and 4 of the second generation...I never looked back. I think the SRX is one of the greatest products GM has ever done.
