Hi all. Just acquired a set of platinum headlights and need the part number for the jumper harnesses. Thanks.

Good luck with the conversion if yours is indeed an 07 ESV. After all the reading I have done (thanks to WaterKing) the 07s are not a direct plug and play. You have to re-pin the harnesses, do a Flash and I believe run some other wiring for it to function properly...I had a deal lined up on some platinum headlights CHEAP but I didn't want the hassle to make them work on my 07

Thanks for the heads up. I guess that I'm gonna have to research a bit.

Ok, after doing some schematic comparisons between the '12 Platinum headlights and my '07 truck, the main difference is in the DRL circuit. The platinum headlamps uses a DRL resistor whereas the 07 does not. The only way to get the resistor is to get the forward lamp harness. So I ordered the harness. It will be in next week.

Please keep me posted on whether or not you can make this plug and play on an 07 with an additional harness. I still have the deal available on the headlights and will for sure go pick them up if you get this worked out!

The harness will be in next week, according to my parts guy. I will check the harness when I get it and will let you know the results.

So how hard is it to make these plug and play in an 11? :)

Do I need this harness?

Will let you guys know when I attempt it on Saturday hopefully.

Should be straight plug and play for you serge

Mmm, interesting ... this could get expensive. :)

Are we sure or is there a way to check?

Can't really say for an 11, but after comparing the wiring schematics, it should all work out. I have the headlights and harness. Just have to make the time to do the swap.

From what I gather in this thread

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-escalade-ext-esv-forum-2007/195774-platinum-headlights-not-running-during-day.html

It is only the 07/08 Models that have the issue with the harness / pins / relay / wiring not working without modification

K thanks ... it looks like you might be correct.

I wonder if I'd still need a BCM reflash or if I just plug them in and go.

I think once Chris does his we should know. He is going to be replacing the whole harness and if everything works once he's done it should let us know if a BCM reflash is necessary

I don't think that any rue flashing of the BCM is needed.

I went through WaterKing's post from 2010. Not too sure if he used a Platinum harness, but the DRL relay is already taped into the new harness that I ordered.

I agree with you Chris, I believe what you have ought to get everything squared away. *fingers crossed*
