We pick up a used 07 ESV tomorrow with 72k so i am curious how many miles we should expect to accumulate without too much hassle.
Any high mile Escalades on the board?

I'm just @ at 100k and running strong. I've seen some with almost 300k on them.

With the powertrain being more or less the same as Chevy/GMC/Suburban etc I know they are capable of many miles however coming from Mercedes I have a unique perspective.
US Mercedes are hard loaded with high tech gizmos compared to the rest of the world and those items are very unreliable making it very expensive to take a MB up high mileage.
Some US drivers still rack up the miles but not like my friends in Europe and the Middle East. When over there I regularly see cars and trucks with over 400,000 miles.
Curious if the Escalade will have the same issue. From reading this board versus Benzworld or MBworld Cadillac issues are nowhere near as costly or prevalent. In a mercedes $2k-$3k repairs are common, even for DIYers.
My preference is to drive the nicest cars the most amount of miles that make economic sense always buying used and measuring value on a simple price per mile scale. (Purchase price+ Maintenance & repair cost- sell price divided by miles driven)
Example $20,000 + $4000 - $14,000= $10,000 divided by 50,000= .20 cents per mile

I just bought my 07 Escalade base last week and I have 104k... Not too worried about miles on this, I have a 2005 Corvette and I am a big fan of the GM 8 cylinders and transmission. When looking at the 100k service needed for the Escalade compared to the cars I owned, I am firm believer that this truck can easily go 200k plus with no major issues if well maintained.

My wife has a 2005 Range Rover and we already put $6-7k in service alone in 2012 for items like suspension and engine work. My wife loves the Range Rover but compared to the Escalade... I choose the Caddy! Good luck with your ESV

Just got my 07 with 97k a few months ago. started seeing alittle wet spot under truck in garage, took a look yesterday and the rack and pinion is leaking at both ends. Traded my 02 in with 150k and all I did to that was ball joints, wheel bearings.
