: 2012 Premium Edition - All Painted Moldings

So I can't stand chrome and just laid my eyes on a 2012 Premium and LOVE all the paint matched moldings.I've already installed paint matched handles. Does anybody happen to know if the following parts are available for order at the dealers pre-painted? And if so have P/Ns?

Side Door Molding (Usually chrome strip running down the doors)
Hood Molding (Usually chrome strip)
Fender Grills (Usually chrome surrounds)

I love the paint matched look but having aftermarket paint work done on my Diamond White is out of the question because I am too OCD and an incorrect paint match wouldnt sit well with me so this OEM option would be GREAT if it's possible.

that's besides the point, because they obviously did it...just curious if these are available to purchase from dealer parts counters

The next gen is going to have alot less Chrome so get used to it fellas.

If that is truly the case, which is not yet known for certain, I'm confident the aftermarket will make up for the lack of chrome.

I like the monochrome paint too. Mine is Black Raven and I want to black the chrome on the mirrors, hood, rear tailgate, and side vents. Can these parts be painted, or can they be vinyl wrapped? Thanks.

In your case vinyl wrapped is definitely an option! If I was Raven Black I would for sure have it wrapped, however I'm not so lucky with the Diamond White because there isn't a vinyl out there that would match the pearl perfectly enough

Just read about Plasti Dip spray. Anyone have any experience with it? I want a gloss look, so the Glossifier they sell looks pretty good. I don't know if this company can custom mix it for you in White Diamond.

Glossifier is not gonna give you the look you want. I have quite a bit of plastidip experience. The matte look finish comes out GREAT but your not going to be able to get the gloss you would want on the Esky. Here is some wheels I did in plastidip on my BMW...

You do the shoes too?!?!?! JK. There are some ppl in the lounge that use this stuff, might ask in there.

The Beamer looks good. I'm assuming the wheels are matte and not Glossifier?

I think that those pieces would be paint to match, but I will check when I get to work. I'm assuming your color interest would be diamond white?

Yes sir...I appreciate you checking into this for me

^^^^ THANKS so much for this! I just happend to get my oil changed today and wouldn't you know a Premium diamond white 2012 with everything paint matched was sitting right out front. I went and talked to the parts guys and they said they are available "paint to match" but that comes primered and you actually have to get them painted :helpless: which kind of negates the purpose because I could have my chrome ones painted to match just as easy. Was kind of hoping for a factory paint job on those pieces pre-ordered but no luck
