Hello Everyone, I was getting ready to change the b2s1 ( I knew it was defective) so I ran the service engine code at autozone and a whole load of codes came up.All I changed were intake air temp (p0113) and b2s1 (O2). Then cleared the other codes and none have showed back up.The engine had recently( 2 days before repairs) acquired a mis that comes at idle--low rpm, they last for a split second,2-5 seconds smooth then a mis, the tack never dips.
Here are those other codes that havent came back, I have the definitions so I wont bore you with them...p0440/p0404/p0742/p0420/p0154/
p0151/p0101/p0113. Do you think that a full ( not bragging just cheaper nowdays) gas tank could cause some of those codes to appear and cause the mis? Would a mechanics scanner show the mis problem?

First of all, you have a built in code reader aka scanner. No need to go to AZ. A full tank of gas should not cause any codes. If you cleared the codes after the repair and none have returned you are good to go (if that is what I understand you to be saying).

Many, many codes come and go like the clouds. Get into the habit of "pulling codes" for no reason and you'll go insane.
Yes, your car has a perfectly adequate built-in code reader/scanner/memory. The "how to" is in the "sticky" post just above this one. use the proper year and car sequence. The code definitions are in the link with "obd2" in the end of the address.

thanks guys for your quick response, I thought maybe the p0440 evap got gas in it and has caused (some how) the mis. Iwas also wondering what kind of tool a mechanic would use to diagnose the mis since there are no codes.I thought there might be a scanner that goes deeper into the functions to tell where the mis is originated. If there were a vacuum leak wouldn't it mis at driving speed also?So many questions, I thank everyone for their time....Ed

P 0440 is a pretty generic code - you're correct - not much to go on. Remove the engine beauty cover and look down next to the fuel rail - there's a solenoid and vacuum hose there which ties into the throttlebody and EVAP vacuum purge line from the charcoal canister located up next to the frame rail near the driver's side rear door. That canister connects to the fuel tank vent/purge line through a solenoid which either vents the tank to the canister or uses fresh air to purge stored gasoline vapor from the canister under steady cruise conditions.
A vacuum leak anywhere in that entire system sets P0440.
