Hello everyone,

As of today, I'm the proud new owner of a 2011 CTS-V wagon! It's 6MT, Radiant Silver, Graphite wheels, Recaros, and yellow calipers with 13k miles. At $53K, I think I got a good deal as the car feels and looks brand new. I traded in my 2012 Audi S4 (never really fell in love with it). I live in El Paso and picked up the car in Dallas. I'm pretty confident it is the only 6MT Vagon in El Paso (if not the only Vagon, period). So far I've only driven 50 miles, but I'm looking forward to the 500 mile trip home tomorrow (except for the fill-ups!). Glad to have the board and I hope to learn and or contribute in the days, months, and years to come. Thank you Bob Lutz for building the perfect car!!!

That's exactly right; black interior, no sunroof, Midnight Sapele. The only thing I would have changed if I were ordering it myself would be Opulent Blue paint, but finding a used 6MT Vagon in Opulent Blue is apparently like trying to find a unicorn.

Va72mlibu:

In all seriousness, send me a PM when the time arises that you are looking to sell this vehicle, be it next year or several years from now.

In the meantime, please don't drill holes in the bumper for the front plate. :bonkers:

Take a look at the RHO plate holder that screws into the tow hook location.

Take good care of my future car. :lildevil:

Welcome!

There are a few B8 S4 converts over here, I came from a B5 myself.

Any like's/dislikes versus the S4 you'd like to share?

It came down to fit. I'm 6'4", 260 pounds and I just couldn't get comfortable. The seat bottom was too narrow and the bolsters dug into my thighs. I'ts a great car. Interior was just awesome; switchgear, materials, etc. were all top notch. It was just a bit too small. It also needed about 50 more BHP to help it keep up with more pedestrian Mustangs and Camaros.

----------

Also of note, I was reading the board for a couple weeks before purchase. On the drive home I noticed a gear whine and remembered threads about Differential issues. After more research it sounded exactly like issues other users were having. After owning the car for two days and buying it out of town, I took it to the dealership here in El Paso this morning and explained my concern. At 4pm they called me and said that yes they agreed and would replace the diff, no problem. So far EXCELLENT service from Bravo Cadillac. Thank Goodness for transferrable warranties!

Yup, Crest Cadillac in Plano. The ad was up on Autotrader less than 24 hours before we had a deal.

Welcome to the club! I guess this means we now have at least 2 V-Wagons running around Plano. Enjoy the new ride.

Actually, I just bought in Plano. I live in El Paso. Well, I do for the next 6 months anyway. I'm active-duty Army.

Got the car back from the dealer with brand new diff. Car is nice and quiet now. Only drawback is now I have break in miles! It really is like having a new car.
