I was at Cadillac of Las Vegas getting my oil changed this morning, just chatting with one of the sales guys, and he points out a bright orange 2012 Challenger SRT-8 they have for sale. Apparently Nic Cage traded it in there the other day, and guess what he bought to replace it?

It's exactly like mine, he even got it with the 6-speed manual. The only difference is the color. So now I think it's safe to say that there are two manual V wagons in Las Vegas now, mine and Nic Cage's, haha.

how else do you think he hauls his dinosaur bones around?

He can keep all his machine guns and grenades in the back. lol. Wow, it seems like everyone is getting Vagons these days, no wonder mine is taking a while to make. I really thought a while back that the coupes would be the most popular, now I'm really starting to think it's the Vagons from all I've been reading here lately.

Vagons rock. I guess Mr. Cage does have some good taste, after all. I think everyone wants to get on board the V wagon train since this is the last year for them.

Just celebrating having officially ordered mine tonight. Woot!

He likes manual transmissions too - his Challenger was a 6-speed manual, and so was the 1-ton duallie he traded in. I think he's a pretty serious car guy.

Oh yeah, so if you're in Vegas and you see a black V wagon with Nevada plates, if it has stock silver (or chrome?) wheels it's FLTRI, if it has the graphite wheels it's Nicolas Cage. :D

How's he gonna drive without his eyes?

"In 2007, he outbid Leonardo DiCaprio for a dinosaur skull, shelling out $276,000 for the artifact.
His homes included three castles — plus two islands in the Bahamas. Among his “dozen or so” mansions, one Bel Air home, purchased in 1998, features a billiard room with a 1955 Jaguar parked inside plus an array of “shrunken heads.”
Out of his 50 cars, the most Cage ever shelled out was $495,000 on Lamborghini — used. (Its former owner was the shah of Iran.)
Obsessed with superheroes (he was once set to star in a Superman sequel), he sold his comics collection in 1997 for $1.6 million.
While portraying an alcoholic in Leaving Las Vegas (his Oscar-winning role) in 1995, he hired an “on set drinking-consultant-poet.”"

Haha, yup I'll keep an eye out for my evil twin...:sneaky: May have come up with my personalized plate, NOTNICK...

Did you get his digits so we can invite him to Vegas V's Meet III???

Apparently he bought a squadron of rolls royces and a flotilla of yachts so maybe he'll buy a 10 pack of V-wagons in the future :)

Last year? Uh oh. Don't think I'm going to be saving up enough for one in time.....

Nobody knows for sure if it's the last year, but one thing is almost for sure that there will not be a 2014 CTS-V Wagon but it may re-appear in 2015 with a V6 and twin turbos.

If it was a black V wagon with a 6MT, graphite wheels and probably a paper temp plate, it was definitely his. The law of averages says so, haha.

Not sure if it was an 6mt also did not go behind to check plate as it was backed in close to a wall with security standing near by so I did not snoop to close. It did have every other option noted. My wife took a couple of pics with her phone I will get them up later.

Congrats, that's a beautiful Vagon! Nic Cage isn't the greatest actor imo but he does have excellent taste in cars! :)
Hope you didn't have to pay a premium because of the car's provenance.

Thxs... I bought the car in November from Hendeson Chevy. Went to Dodge to check on warranty on the car. They looked up the car and asked if I wanted to know who owned the car. Yeah... Sure!!
Nicholas Cage was the original owner.....
Now I'm just trying to dig up proof!!!

That's pretty cool. I'd see if you can get a print-out from Dodge, with his name on it as the original owner. How many miles did Nick put on it? It'd be cool if you could reach out to him somehow, and get a picture or autograph of him with the car. Long shot, but worth a try. Congrats on the Vagon, they are stunning cars. I'll never sell mine...

Getting proof shouldn't be too hard. It would be pretty cool if you could locate a picture of him in/standing beside the Vagon, and then get him to autograph it!

LOL! FLTRI, we must have had the same thought at the same time,

He only put a around 3,500 miles on it. I'm the 4th owner with 12,500 miles. I've looked for photos of him with the car but no luck. I need to go to the dealership where he bought it and see what I can dig up..

Didn't think he could afford the V Wagon with his financial problems.

That's curious. 4 owners in just a few years. Were there issues with it?

Probably nothing. I only asked because most people who are fortunate to get their hands on a (6M) Vagon don't want to let go of it, ever.
