Well, my car has shipped, so I guess it is official!

2012 Black Diamond Wagon. Comes with the 13,800 miles of use option.

I'm going to be exporting it to Canada, immediately. Will update when I receive the beast, but I'm rather excited!

Sottozeros. this was great for me, as my first purchase would have been winter tires. I have a nice set of polished wheels on the way, with new-ish summers on them.

For some reason the brakes were rusty...but only on one side?

Rusty brakes mean it's been wet (washed or driven in water) recently, then sat. The rust goes away with the first application of the brakes as you drive out of your driveway. All Vs do this and it is normal.

Congrats on finally joining the fam.

Too bad you got an automagic. Just kidding, with a tune, the automatic can be fun in sport mode.

I'm used to the rust....what's odd is that it's really only on one side.

Left side brakes - rusty. Right side brakes - clean.

Odd.

I think I was hasty on the new nickname. I'm not feeling it.

I've tried to teach my wife stick in multiple cars, on multiple occasions. That dog won't hunt...errr...That ship has sailed.

I've also tried having one dedicated car for her and me. That doesn't work.

A 911 is in the cards, so that can be stick.

Trust me...the sound alone will make you appreciate the Airraid.

Congrats. You never know maybe the car beside it was washed and it just got the brake rotors wet on one side? Anyhow, nothing to worry about, the rust will go right away when the car is driven. I'm looking forward to getting my vagon, I have a blue one on order.

The hats or the rotor surface?

Salt and snow(and even just being exposed to air) would cause hat rust. We do not have anodized or plated rotors. Eventually they're all going to look that that if you're taking it up to Can-a-da

OP, have you been PM'd the secret handshake for Vagon owners yet?
